High Chair Mountaineering!

My latest little trick-- yes, it's High Chair Mountaineering!  I've already mastered climbing on the sofas, jumping on the bed, running up stairs -- now, it's the climbing of the High Chair!  It starts with a glance over to mommy for her (dis)approval.  And, of course, to let her know that *I* am ready for my dinner!

Of course, one must pause for dramatic photos during the ascent.  Believe me, this is hard work!  And it should be commemorated!

At the top, there is a bit of dexterity required to get oriented correctly.  Again, this is much harder then it looks!

And finally, surveying the countryside in the comfort of my high chair!

Oi!  Mom!  Where's my Dinner!!  And how do you get down from this thing...?

Me and my Buddy Elmo!

The best way to watch Elmo is with ... ELMO!  He is so interesting and attentive, always smiling and happy!  When he's on the TV, I can enjoy his company as we watch him together!!

I'm not entirely sure how he can be in two places at once.  It's a trick I'm hoping he'll teach me someday!  In the meantime, he's very good at giving hugs!

I'm not sure how, but I also have this little lamb.   He likes Murry Had a Little Lamb.  But otherwise, he's just not Elmo.

More Drums!

I raided the pantry.  In addition to chocolate, potato chips and other food I'm not allowed to eat, I found more drums!  They came in many different shapes and sizes, so I just had to go set up my little drum set!

And that means I get to perform!

Do you think I could charge admission?  I know my music conservatory fund could definitely use it!

Fireman

I've decided that I kinda like my little fireman's hat now.  I used to hate wearing it, but lately, it's all the rage.

I look good in red.

Now, I just need my own firetruck with a very loud siren!

Bookstore!

It started with the usual -- me looking at stuff I could add to my little train set come my birthday...

Then off to play with their mega-cool Thomas the Tank Engine set!

And finally on to look a the puzzles...

While I wasn't paying attention, another little someone wandered on over to me.

He politely got my attention and asked to play with me!

Of course I said "sure!"  So we started to play with the puzzles and all the other toys in the shop.  It was a juping good time.

His name turned out to be "Stoney".  He was a really nice little guy.

And we both like trains!

Maybe next year, Mommy will get me a cute jacket like his!

Lounging, Spencer-Style

I have this cool way of laying on the sofa with my feet up on the coffee table.  Sure, I'm barely big enough to touch the sofa and the table at the same time, but that said, I've got the lounging down to a science!

And sometimes, I don't even bother to wear pants when lounging!

Look, Mom!  One Leg!

Ghost!

There was a ghost running around the dining room the other morning.  It was making all the curtains move and had this distinctly Spencer-ish look it!

Oh wait!  It's ME!

It was kinda cool.

Now if I could just use this to get more blueberries...  For some reason, I don't think "Mommy, the ghost in the dining room wants more blueberries!" will quite work!

Storytime!

Before bed, I always demand a story.   Bedtime always starts with a little snack of some fruit, and then milk.  Then it becomes a small fight to get me to brush my teeth - Daddy gives me a toothbrush, I play with it, throw it declaring "No!", get it back, and then repeat a couple of times until Daddy gets the message!

Then it's Momy's turn.  Mommy is nice and lets me pick out a book for her to read to me!

Like the other night ... she read the Going To Bed Book while I browsed for the next story -- Hop on Pop!

Reading is tough.  But it is sure fun!

When mommy finishes, I always give her the next book.  On a good night, we can go through 10 books or more!

After the Nth book, a little yawn and then off to bed.

Now off to bed!

Winter Accessorizing

Winter means cold. But I don't let that cramp *my* style.  I accessorize with practical stuff to keep nice and warm.  My favorite is daddy's scarf!

A quick toss over the shoulder completes the look!

See?  Mega cuteness.

I wonder if Justin Bieber will take to wearing scarfs!  Or he should hire me as his fashion consultant...

Action Shots : Drummer Boy!

Yes : Here it goes -- DRUM SOLO!

Cool action shots with me drumming, and a highly attentive audience of mommy in the back ground!

Did you notice -- Justin Bieber has the same haircut as me!  Now even super stars are copying the one, the only, the original Spencer!  (And ladies ... I'm much cuter then he is!)

More Chores...

While I may not sleep, keep my parents up all night long, and in general be difficult, I am now helping out by doing chores around the house.  My latest?  I help unload the dishwasher!  It usually means lifting out all sorts of heavy things and depositing them elsewhere in the kitchen....

After which, I get to close the dishwasher.

Which is really quite heavy.  Mommy usually has to help!

After such a hard task, you think Mommy would give me cookies and milk.  But no ... that doesn't happen.  Maybe I should start demanding an allowance for my cuteness!

Gimme the Boot!

With all the snow outside, I figured I should try on a proper pair of boots.  So I stole Mommy's boots!  I thought about stealing daddy's boots, but his have laces and I haven't mastered the art of tying them quite yet...

I'm not quite sure how people exactly walk in these things either!  It isn't easy...

...and getting them off is bloomin' difficult as well!

Boots may keep you warm in the snow, but you sure look like a clown wearing them!

More Books

I'm trying to figure out these book things, but my most recent discovery is daddy's collection of Tom Holt books.  They are really quite interesting, with cool covers and some big letters inside of them!

I sit down and slog through the books, trying to understand what is going on...

Unfortunately, I seem only to have enough patience for about 3 pages.  The 3 pages at the beginning with not much text!

The Great Blizzard!

I did mention we had a little blizzard here the other week.  It was quite amazing, starting around 3:00pm and it just got worse and worse and worse... By bedtime, the snow was piling up by both the front and back doors.  There was a good 3-foot drift forming...

...and it sure looked like there was more to come!  By morning, the back door was completely buried by a good 10-foot drift.

I suggested that we go sledding on it, seeing as it was definitely big enough!  But alas, that wasn't an option and daddy went and cleared it away.  Amazingly, before the snow had stopped, there were people out clearing away the white fluffy stuff!

By 3:00pm, everything had pretty much returned to "normal", and I was allowed out to survey the damage.  I was amazed at the snow piles being a good 3 to 4 times my height!

I went for a little wander down the streets in a sort of amazement...

Where trees had been only yesterday, there were piles of snow covering them!  Mommy lifted me up to I could see better, but they were no where to be seen.  It was like there was snow bomb that had gone off...

...and then there were the pictures.  Constant pictures.  It's like, I'd never seen 20 inches of snow fall before...

True, I hadn't.  But then again, where was my sled?

The most amazing thing here was that from the time it stopped snowing to the time the streets were clear was measured in hours!
