Halloween!

It's Halloween -- or, as I would like to say, a day to let your true self show to the world!
Fortunately, for me this is easy as my true nature has been revealed to be....

SUPER SPENCER!

 Able to wander around the house in a single stroll...

Strong, tough and fierce when faced with my arch enemy -- Daddy's Camera!

Capable of detecting and dealing with any hidden evils -- like, say, candy!

And, when needed, able to invoke my awesome powers of persuasion! 

Always the intrepid hero, keeping Mommy- and Daddy- kind safe from the perils of those monsters who live under their beds!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

So, before getting onto the Halloween stuff, I should just take a moment or two to say "Happy Birthday Grandma!!"  It's a busy week for Grandmas to have birthdays -- I hope they save me some CAKE!

Autum days in the Park

Its getting cooler outside, so when there is a nice day I really want to go to the park!  You see, 'cos it's cooler, it's not as crowded, meaning, I can get the swings all to myself!

And 'cos you're not showing off if nobody is watching -- it means I can fly HIGHER!  (Daddy doesn't count, obviously!)  I love flying high in the swings.  Normally, when other little kids are around, I don't want to go any higher then them.  But today, when the swings were empty -- I wanted to FLY!!!!

After, I was off to the bouncy horse.  It is a really fun!  I used to like it when daddy and grandpa bounced me on their knee, but this allows me to bounce myself!

Then, its off for a little wander.  First, it's off to check out the hills and fields.  There were some big kids playing football.  I thought about joining in, but it settled for just watching!

Finally, it was off to wander around the rest of the playground.  I got to check out the slides and the big kids swings. (I'm learning how to swing on them now!!)

You should really check out the park too -- just don't get in the way of my swinging, 'cos then I might get annoyed!

Mall? What's the Big Deal??

Every dark blue once in a while, mommy and daddy take me to the mall.  But I don't see what the big deal is.  We always stop by the Lego store - it is one of my favorites - which gives me a chance to play with their computer!

And, we always wander through one of the kid's stores.  Personally, I *love* the bins of small toys.  My favorite is usually one of the kaleidescopes.  It makes mommy multiply!

Which is fine, as long as she's not trying to brush my teeth!

Mommy and Daddy go to all these other stores while I just sit in the stroller, bored.  They get chocolate (and they don't give me any -- or nearly enough).  They buy clothes, usually for me, and fuss over just how cute the clothes will make me.  Hello!?!?!  You've got it wrong parents -- the clothes don't make me cute, *I* make me cute!  See what I have to endure?  And they don't even take me to the movies -- I'd love to see Elmo on the big screen...

Halloween Costumes!

With Halloween coming up, it's time to start shopping for a costume!  So, off we went and I tried on a few things...  

A Wizard's hat was first as I'm definitely cuter -- way cuter -- than any Harry Potter characters and as they are Wizards, they simply must have pointy hats, right?

But that wasn't for me.  Next, Mommy stuck a "pumpkin" on me as I'm her "little pumpkin".  It was NOT my favorite.

Then the insult of insults.  Someone tried to dress me up as Thanksgiving Dinner.  That was NOT funny.

Finally, someone came up with a great idea -- dress me up as Einstein with Blue Hair!  Or was it as a punk rocker?  Hey, either way, this is pretty cool....

So ... tune in on the big day to see what -- or who -- I dress up as!

Mommy Time!

My favorite time of the day is mommy time!  It can be something as simple as kicking back and relaxing while watching Elmo...

Or consuming a bottle of milk (which always seems to make her really happy -- probably 'cos I'm mega cute!)

Sometimes, she even forgets I'm here and curls up on me to sleep.  As long as it doesn't interrupt my drinking, I don't mind -- too much!

I just hope times like this don't come back to haunt me as a teenager!!!

Going out!

Whenever I go out, Mommy always bundles all sorts of stuff into a large bag.  She says it's all for me...  But I know the truth -- it's just another form of sadistic torture 'cos now she sometimes makes me carry the bag!

But today, once we got out ... they gave me CRAYONS!  They are very tasty!

I still eat them first, and then once Mommy or Daddy tells me to stop, then I resort to making funny colored marks on the paper!

Chicago Trip!

After riding on the little train, I got to ride to Chicago in a BIG train!  It was kinda cool... but I hated the waiting for it...

 

 ...even if it was rather a nice day!

Once in the city, we went for lunch.  And guess what?  I got to sit in a real chair for a change!  Wahoo!!

After lunch, it was off for waffles.  Now, I don't know what a waffle actually is, but the decor of this particular place was this wonderful industrial minimalism.  Again, I don't know what "industrial minimalism" actually means, but it was shiny and reflected my image with cool distortions!

Then it was off to the bookstore.  There, I had a cup of Seattle's Best Milk!

...and then played with a Giraffe and had a blast with some of the other little kids!!

Then, it was back home.  First, I slept on mommy...

...and then on daddy...

I like sleeping on trains.  They're quite nice!!!

Model Boy!

Story Time!

When its time for bed, I love a little story.  However, sometimes daddy is a bit slow, so I have to go take care of it myself!  

First, pick out a good looking book...

Hmm...Neil Stephenson -- an Excellent Choice if I do say so myself!  (Daddy says I'm probably his biggest little fan -- I'm sure he means that in a nice way!)

Then on to reading!  I just fly through these books!!!

Star Wars?

You can just call me "Obi-Wan".  

Huh?  Obi-Wan?  Has anyone actually ever stopped to see what it means?  "Obi" is a Japanese sash.  "Wan" in English means "lacking in intensity; dim or feeble."  "A Dim or Feeble Sash"?

So maybe "Obiwan" doesn't fit very well.  I'm way too bright and energetic.  Call me feeble and I'll probably bite your kneecap.  In any case, I'll be sure to bring along pieces of the vacuum cleaner to use as a light saber should I need to defend myself!

Just call me "The Spencenator!"   That sounds much more cool!

Outside...

 There is a big, wide exciting world out there...

But I'm stuck inside.  Inside.  INSIDE!

 Somebody OPEN THE DOOR AND LET ME OUT!!!

Train!

I went to the park the other day, and they had a Spencer-sized train! It was cute. It was cool. It was blue!


When I first saw it, I wanted to ride immediately.


...and I did. First with Mommy...


And then with Daddy -- though I had to drag him forcibly over to get him to go on it. After, I got a Balloon Bear. He was also making penguins and ducks and flowers -- all of which were really cool!


When I grow up, I'm going to have my own train and my own guy doing balloon animals for me!

A True Perfect Day!

Today is 10/10/10.

In other words, it's a perfect day in a perfect month in a perfect year -- which makes it a True Perfect Day! How often does that happen? Yea, well, ok -- once a century -- but have you seen a True Perfect Day before?

No? I didn't think so.

And what do you do on a Perfect Day? You go Play, Play, Play!!!


...which I will go do, thank you very much!
