Birthday Dinner!

We went out for Chinese on my birthday.  While I got to eat lots of good Mongolian beef (after mommy picked out the onions and other green things), lots of duck (again, after mommy picked out the green bits), and lots of pot stickers (no picking with them!).

But mostly, since I'm now 2, I can drink out of a real cup!

I watched daddy do it, and it was easy!

I didn't even spill that much!  Wahoo!

Swing!

After slides, I also love the swings!  And when it comes to swings, I have a very simple rule.  I must go higher, faster, and farther then anyone else!

Mommy is pretty good at pushing me...

But Daddy has really figured out the secret!

Talk about high, fast, far and fun!

If seesaws were this cool, I'd be set!

Cake!

Birthdays mean candles.  And candles mean fire.  And I like fire!

Cake also means milk.  Fire, cake, milk and in this case, mommy!

Here I am posing with my cards.  There's a Cookie Monster, a Thomas the Tank Engine, a Blue Giraffe and a couple of ducks!

This time, just mommy and no milk!

Sometimes, I'll even let Daddy get into the act -- but not too often!

The Big Slide....

The medium slide is quite nice, but then there is the very big twisty one.  It's my favorite!

You get a niiice long ride down.  It's fantastic.

My first time, I even got daddy to go on it.  I was quite impressed by that!

Prezzies!

Mommy and Daddy got me all sorts of stuff for my birthday.  The coolest thing was the two big boxes, both with bows!  Bows are fun to play with -- so I spent time transferring them from one box to the other.

Then Mommy told me to "open" the prezzies.  "Open them?" I thought... What does that involve?

Oh!  You mean I get to tear them!  Now that is something I can do!  Inside of them are toys...lots of toys!

...um...is this a toy?  I can't quite tell!

Oh!  It has a toy knife and toy stuff to cut!  Now that's fun!  The knife, that is...

And a Thomas the Tank Engine book!  That's definitely something I can definitely enjoy...

Cool!  I think every day should be my birthday ... don't you?

Bigger Slide

While most little guys seem to like the little slide... *I* go for the BIG slide!  Big slides are much, much more fun -- and they scare my parental units!

Again, it's a simple matter of "Get Ready!"

Get Set!

Go!!!!

It's actually quite fun!  Flying down a slide at a rather high rate of speed!

Wheeeeee!  It's one of the best things about being two!

So, you think I can do this again?

 You bet!

Springtime!

Ok, first off, I'll post some pictures from my birthday in the next day or so.  But right now, I'm too busy keeping the parental units chasing after me.  I love the park, and regularly head out and have lots and lots of fun there.

To begin with, there is the small slide.  While not the greatest of slides, I get to go crawling through some tunnels to reach it...

Mommy often takes an interest in my explorations.  I think it's kinda funny!

Emerging from the tunnel is a great chance to look cute!

Mommy is often a bit over-protective.  Please!  I'm perfectly capable of handling a slide on my own!

But I can wait while she moves out of my way.

...and then, down the mini-slide I go!

It's more the crawling around that is the fun bit; 'cos let's face it -- a 3-foot slide just isn't where the action is!
